artist As a professional artist, Douglas Malone specializes in figurative drawing and painting. His extensive background in classical drawing and anatomy enables him to craft the image of the human form with meticulous precision, subtlety, and insight. Douglas regularly exhibits his paintings and drawings in galleries throughout America, and his work is held in private and corporate collections in the United States and Europe. Mr. Malone studied at the College of William & Mary, The Corcoran School of Art, and the Academy of Art in San Francisco. He taught anatomy and drawing at the Academy from 1998 to 2007, and will begin teaching at The College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan in September 2007. |
